Hi everyone! My name is Kayt, and I am the definition of a food lover. Let’s put it this way – for my 19th birthday I asked for two pork shoulders done up in the smoker. My dad used to own a restaurant in Jasper, and I grew up spending my summers by the water.

One of my favourite things to do is wade out into the water at Gabriola Island and pick out oysters to cook up on the BBQ. Another passion of mine is traveling, which has brought me through North America, Asia, Europe, and Oceania – most recently visiting Iceland! This has allowed me to expand my palate, although I don’t recommend the fermented shark! Needless to say, seafood is a natural choice for me to focus on. Let me know if you have any must try seafood dishes you can’t get enough of!
